Im going mount the cat I got this week. I think I found the taxidermist I'm going to have do it, but still unsure of the pose. If anyone could post pictures of their mounts I would appreciate it.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

It helps to know where you plan on placing it or should I say where you are allowed to put out for display. smile

I believe I will be taking it to timberland taxidermy in missouri. Seen some really good cats from him. As far as where it can go, I've got a very loving wife that says I can put it where ever I want in the house. Plans to build a house in the next 1 to 3 years are in the plans so I can design something specific for the cat. I appreciate everyone posting photos for me

You may need the measurements to learn what poses are available for it first. I'm getting a cat mounted this winter and I'm really struggling to find a pose that matches up to the size. It was a big kitty though, 36 pounds. A good problem to have I suppose. [Linked Image]

The frist thing you want to look at is where its going on the wall or on the floor then you will need the measurements. Most poses are only available in certain sizes I would recommend looking at the Brian Hendricks forms if not get one of his change out heads.

No matter where you go there you are.

Over the last 15 years I have sold probably 20 to hunting clients like this. Seems to be a popular pose. Pheasant, grouse, chucker, prairie chicken, etc... it’s a great looking floor mount. The second one is something I wanted.

Sorry no matter what I do they come in sideways, so I deleted them drives me crazy. I’m a idiot and can’t figure it out.

If your taxidermist has done enough cats they should be able to tell you what pose will work & what won't. Might be a little modifications but my guy is good & can usually tell me which ones will work & what won't. Here's a pic of one of min, will take one of the other cat tomorrow.

So far, there is not one cat pictured I,d be happy with.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.
