Now that the world getting hotter and folks are having a hard time wearing these big old heavy fur coats with out breaking a sweat in the middle of Jan. maybe it time for NAFA to push the heavy northern junk out the back door and go with a new lighter, hotter, brighter look in light weight fun fur fashions till things start to cool back down some what. Some ideals that come to mind are Alabama gray fox, La. nutria, Ga. bobcat, MS. coat coons, Tn. beaver and Fl. otter. Just to name a few. What say ya'll is this not a good ideal or what. Keeping things green, saving the market, stop breaking the backs of 90 pound Chinese women and helping me get more then three bucks for a coon hide. Hey I think we could go with this you think.

Definitely!

Bright neon colors for the younger women. Have to figure out a way to make the tanning and manufacturing less expensive while getting more money for the raw furs.

See I told it was a good ideal. And the fact that there not as much fur there to clean it would not take as much of one income to clean that sucker ever year.

Where do you think this market has been going the last 20-30 years? This is where we are at, which is why coat coons, centrals etc. and course haired yotes and beaver don't have markets. It is a trim market and that uses far, far less fur than garment markets. The fact that the market wanted up to 60 million ranch mink and more should tell us where the market is at. The rest is basically crumbs on the floor of the fur market. How many ranch mink does it take to make cuffs, collars and parka hood trim on a jacket instead of making a mink jacket, lined with rat bellies or lower quality mink?
