Looks like I will be waiting for that bell to ring when she needs something! Need to get her a 5 gallon bucket for when I'm checking cat traps and will be gone for a few hours every 3 days not the best timing to set this up now but we will get through it always do.

Had me scheduled for a wisdom tooth extraction the day before I had to drive her 120 miles for the procedure the next day so we moved that up a week. Had the tooth pulled and it never hurt or swelled up much just minimal discomfort that was it.

Good luck to both of you.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

With the correct after surgery treatment plan you will be surprised how soon she starts to walk. Good luck.

Both of my parents had their knees replaced. They are made to walk every day on it after the surgery. Keep moving as much as she can tolerate. Good luck to her and a fast recovery!

My wife has had them both replaced--physical therapy needs to be followed to a T.
A tip for that plastic chair in the bath tub--get some tennis balls, slice the top and put one on the legs.Prevents that chair from slipping and sliding.

They also make a gel pad that is colder than ice that you freeze. You have to put a towel on your leg or you can get burned from it if you leave the gel bag on to long. Just another option.

Another suggestion for the ice water pump. Freeze 12 plastic water bottles and rotate them through. Heck of a lot easier and cleaner than using ice!

My wife had both of hers done. I stayed home with her for first week then went back to work. X2 on the pt do as much as possible. The doc sent her home with a machine that constantly kept her knee moving, kind of a bicycling motion, that she used while laying down. It made a big difference in her recovery and the surgery really helped her ability to get around. Good luck.

So she wore out her knees from getting on them and begging you to come out from under the bed and fight like a man? laugh laugh laugh

Hope all goes well, and you are able to keep with your trapping until the end.

Don't bring her home if she has any temperature. They might tell you that 101.5 is normal. It is not!
