Down a little from last year Beav?

I sold 241 fall rats for $3.19 average. These were from the first week of the season.

Little bit off but not much.

Break down the same so size and quality lower?

My rats this winter contained more undersized then I can ever remember (which probably ain’t saying much)

Sold to Groney Friday night. Muskrats: XL winter's $6, the rest aveeraged $3, and some misc. falls $2.50. Sold a few prime male mink at $10 and not quite prime at $3. Pleasantly surprised on the rats and expected prices on the mink.

No highs and lows....Averages guys.

What is the size breakdown for the price structure?

Sold 240 rats to groenwald today, all caught under ice from Nov. 15th till beginning of Jan. 40 @ six bucks, 89 @ four bucks, 92 @ two fifty, 19 @ one dollar. Hard to find solid concentration of rats up here this year, and way smaller size average then usual. Oh well, lets hope for a warmup before season ends! Think it comes out to 3.52 avg. 5 prime mink at $5 each...

Thank you for posting. I have about a dozen fewer than your number with a similar breakdown as to my guess on sizes. I shipped all of mine this year as I too noted that my average size was the lowest it has been in several years. I will print your prices to see how I compare. If I had more bigger rats I would have sold some as their prices on the better rats is very competitive. The breaks on some of the sizes seem larger than what I have been experiencing at the auctions. Will wait and see. More of mine were earlier as only about 80 through the ice.

The last time I sold last season, on the last weekend of the rat season, so about the 3rd or fourth of March, I averaged 4.50, mid to late winter skins, about 250 or so, and his price was 5.50 tops at that time. Size is where its at in the current market.

Sold 130 rats to Groenwald yesterday. $3.92 average.

Sold 163 rats in Jan to GFW,$4.09 average straight run of rats.
