I am listing a few collector traps that are not commonly seen. The first are a pair of Montgomery Diggers. These traps were designed and made in Mahaffey PA in the mid 1960s with the design and plan to catch digger fox. There are reported to be two major variations but several more exist as the brothers rapidly went from an early long spring version through several types of coil springs The two traps offered here are a single coil spring of about a 2 size although I think they called it a 3. This is an early trap with a hand cut flat base and the correct jack link chain that was used on early traps. The trap is used but complete and original. The larger double coil spring version was called a 4 size I believe but is actually about a 3. This version has a more conventional base with a U pin and double coils attached to the two levers and has a twin loop chain without a ring which is likely original. Trap is used but real good. I am asking 150.00 for the pair delivered in the US. The next trap is a very scarce trap made by the Diamond Trap Co in the 1920s. This company really advanced the design of coil spring traps and many of their traps would still be good for use today. This trap is a #3 double coil spring designed like the triumph coil springs with the springs tucked inside the base of the levers. The example here is really nice, the best I have seen. All the metal is smooth, the trap has excellent color[img]http://[/img]





and the pan stamp is fully readable and the lettering crisp. The trap is complete and original and I am asking 125 delivered in the US. I will accept check, money order or paypal F&F.
