its a cow polk..... was placed on the neck of a cow that was a fence crawler.

Yep cow poke neck yolk brought it up. Thanks, a guy at work found it and I was trying to fine out what it was for him. He thought it was a trap of some kind.

I remember having one of those on the dairy farm I grew up on. Don't remember if it worked or not. Chasing cows was part of every day life. smile

They work on some cows and not on others, a stubborn cow can mess up a lot of fence with one. We never chased cows, they always came at feed time or milk time. The more you chase a cow, the more you have to.
