Finned super stakes with the retrieval cable work well for me. I can pull almost all of them with the same equipment I use to set them. I do not need a heavy duty puller. I can not imagine the struggle to get the regular super stakes or fangs out of the ground I trap even with a heavy duty puller. .

I've found enough deer sheds going to retrieve my super stakes after the frost comes out of the ground I actually look forward to doing so every year. I also leave a number of them in the ground from year to year. To put some input towards the initial post however, the super stakes do not come out of the ground easily!
