It will grade damaged. I-II would be my guess or a II if it slips when dry. It could be a rub but if you feel it on the fur side it will be a problem with the grade. LLL

It's hard to tell what caused those marks. Could be just a dark spot and the fur hasn't been compromised. Most damage caused by breeding occurs up around the neck area. And since It's a sow there are times when they never completely prime up. NIce job on the put up.

Those marks indicate a problem on the fur side of the pelt.Who knows what caused the damage-could be any number of causes.

Just look at the fur and get back to us. If those spots are completely covered and you can't pull fur you should be good to go. but It's going to draw the attention of the grader.

Caught a female earlier this week that had visual signs of being in heat. Breeding in January? Seems early but different part of the country we don't see the breeding here till Feb and late Feb.

Have you taken it off the board yet? I am curious if the fur was good. Can you feel any rough area on the leather that is on the fur side? LLL

I'm guessing that the fur side is scabby in that area, probably from ticks. Those dark spots in the leather usually mean a lack of fur, or leather damage, or both. Feeling around on the fur side should reveal the cause.
