I take my shorthair on my water trapping lines with me quite a bit. I usually don't take him when setting coyote or bobcat sets. He's been initiated to sets and pretty much knows to avoid them. The reason I don't bring him mostly is for scent. I don't really know if a domestic dog smell or him peeing on things would be good or not for coyotes. I figure it wouldn't be good for bobcats, but would coyotes shy away from an area with domestic dog smells? Part of me thinks it might actually draw them in... especially if he peed on something. Make a set there like a natural urine post. I could be just talking out of my you-know-what though...

My intact male retriever’s pee gets lots of wolf and yote attention.
Boco couldn't catch a cold. But if he did, it would be Top Lot.

My dog, male lab, tells me where to make a set.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo
You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.
