Just curious on the history of these traps, year/years made, where, owners name, and what was this trap mostly used for, beaver or more used as a land trap...

Thanks

Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes......
Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....

Made by Triumph Trap Company from 1928-1934. There were 3 different models in several sizes

Ones marked "coil spring" came in 3 sizes. 1, 1 1/2, 2

Ones marked "square Grip" came in 4 sizes. Single spring # 1. Double spring 2, 3, 4

Ones marked "triple clutch" came in 4 models. 1XK, 2 XK, 3 XK, 2 XC

The Easy Set traps are fairly common and don't have a very high collector value compared to some other traps. The most valueable is the 2XK.

The square grip and triple clutch in the larger sizes do make interesting conversation pieces due to their shape and bulkiness (my opinion)
