Does anyone use them, do you hate them or love them? They look pretty nice in the catalog pictures and have a sole that looks to have traction.
Looking at getting a pair for next season to use before the snow arrives. I deal with some of the nastiest mud ever or dryer than bone conditions depending on the day. I'm thinking of going with a rubber boot so they can be hosed off instead of waiting for the mud to dry and trying to chisel it off as I do with leather boots.

Had them for 2 years and beat them to death. Still going strong. Love them. Get them, you wont regret it.

I have had better luck with Cabela's brand boots for holding up the Lacrosse brand I went through 2 pairs in 2 years they ripped easily and cracked on the seams. The Cabela's feel good and have a real removable cushion that is thick unlike the ones that the Lacrosse brands had that were paper thin and useless, it comes down to your paying for the old name and not getting what your paying for with the Lacrosse brand.

I never could figure how they make them overseas to save costs then charge you twice what they cost when they were made here, the Lacrosse boots I paid $125 for were cheaply made, when I got better boots for $80 in the Cabela's brand that are made better.

I have been using them for about 8 to 10 years now .Still wearing just the second pair .They are comfortable ,If you try them on before buying and allow for extra socks to keep your feet warm they do not pull my socks down .They are easy to put on and take off .I never like walking in rubber boots but these are not bad .You may want to put insoles in them . That would be a personal preference

The Lacrosse boots that you mention used to be my favorites. Tried the Cabelas zoned rubber boot this fall. The Cabelas boots kept my feet warmer than the Lacrosse boots. It kind of surprised me. They have held up well to this point. I want to see if I can get 2 years out of them. 2 years is about the max I get out of a pair of rubber boots as much as I wear them.

I wore them for the first time this season. First time a pair of rubber boot made it through a season, and I did a lot of walking with conditions this year. They're not cheap, but they're the best pair of rubber boots I've owned. My pair should go through another season without a problem. The camo has worn off the toe area, but that's it.

Thank guys, so do these boots hold inner moisture a lot - do you have to put them on a drying rack at night?

I have them, Great HD boot and rubber. I have one issue with the sole as it dont have crap for support in the foot and arch. i cant seem to get good footing with them .

My feet tend to sweat, so I tried to wear wool socks whenever it was cold enough. They're insulated pretty good, but I don't have MT temps usually. It wasn't uncommon for me to pull a very damp wool sock off, but the boots felt dry each morning, without using a drying rack. During the worst weather and temps we had, my feet were warm. And, for a few days there, I was out shoveling 20" of snow, walking a mile to check 8 cat sets, and never once did I notice my feet getting a little bit cool. That's being active, so I'm sure that helps, but I was pretty impressed with them. Actually switched to Lacrosse on my hip boots too, insulated and non-insulated. They're just better made than most of the stuff out there, and I say that cause I haven't needed to replace a pair yet. I normally have to replace at least one pair of my trapping boots each year. I started off buying the mid-range priced stuff, but replaced it every season. Tried Lacrosse and I'm not disappointed. Probably other good brands out there, but I think I'll stick with the Lacrosse for a while.

I stopped buying Lacrosse boots once they went over sea's.

If you guys are having problems with cold, sweaty feet, try two pairs of thin dress socks instead of the heavier socks. Most are made of a nylon material that won't absorb moisture. Much warmer than heavy socks that trap moisture and cut off circulation to toes.

They do hold moisture given the rubber construction. I dont put mine on a drying rack and they are always dry by the next day. They just get some moisture while wearing them.

I have a pair, and they fit, not perfectly, but I like the Lacrosse Grange boot myself, as it's uninsulated and lighter.

Rip them Lacrosse boots and you will see a soft foam material not the wader rubber like in the past, just looking at the inserts that should be a clue of the cost cutting moves they have taken.

I been saying that for 20 years now. What was wrong with paying 80,.00 for USA made and having them last for years. Now the Chinese ones have fancy looking soles and wavy lines and you can poke your finger through them, cost about 200 now. I think the idea was to save the manufactures costs, not ours.

I have a pair of cheap Drake boots that have lasted me for years now they just need some thick wool socks and they are good to go, I got them at wing supply for $40 shipped on closeout and they have outlasted 2 sets of the Alphaburly type of boots by far that cost well over $100 a pair.

Thank you all for the input, I hate shopping for boots as much as buying a new pair of leather gloves. I purchased some muck boots a few years back, while a decent built boot they offer no traction in mud or snow.

Lawdog - what boot do you have from Cabela's?

They say O2 Octane on them and they come in different insulation ratings, I'm hard on boots between the barbwire and the hill climbing in the cat draws and wearing them about everyday for 6 months straight they get a workout. A good cushion on the bottom thicker the Lacrosse and the rubber is tougher also.

I love my burlys . I went to buy a second pair last year and they didn't have any at the store so I bought some Irish Setters. I needed new boots and now I wish I had got the burlys . Irish Setters are hard on and off not as warm but comfortable. To be fair setters have less insulation. I will be getting some burlys this year. First pair of burlys lasted 4 years before cracking at the back of the ankle.

I have a pair of the Lacrosse boots, similar but with the standard bottom tread. Still in the catalog. Run full length insoles. I have walked a ton of miles in these, purchased in 2004. They finally cracked on the front where they flex all the time. I'll be buying another pair for next year.
To the best of my knowledge Cabelas boots are made in China. Told to me by a Cabelas employee years ago.
