Three weeks in a cabin up North. 25 miles to gas station and lots of time alone suited me just fine. A little colder than I'm used to and there was a bunch of icy white stuff on the ground but the combination of big cats to try and cage and open night hunting is right up my alley. Cats where pretty scarce and sometimes difficult to commit to cages but each trip I learn a little more. Biggest heaviest cats I've ever handled. This one went 47" ML

Way to adapt, Mercer. Glad you got some Colorado action. Side note, the cages pictured sure look different than the ones I got from ya. 🤔 I noticed that, too. Mine don't have the round rod running up high the length of the cage.

You got but a small taste of the trials and tribulations of trapping in Colorado Be glad your not here now. I also like the look of the recessed doors on those double door traps. They'll work real sweet set up tight next to cliffs.

Thank you.
Trapping Gal is being a little modest. I gave her some double doors to try and she has caught a few in them. She also has videos of cats refusing to go in them. Acting just like they sometimes do at single door traps.
ML Any chance of getting a retro fit to the double from the single door?

Mercer--i am really liking those double doors. They aren't the magic bullet to catch every cat, but they work in situations/places a regular trap doesn't. I see them as another tool in the toolbox of trapping.

Grandpa Trapper this thread wasn't intended to be an advertisement. I will get in trouble with the powers that be if it turns into one.
Please email me and I would be happy to discuss.

Another double door catch. This big tom was just soaking up some sun when I got there.
