wildflights OP trapper Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 849 Washington	I'm putting together a family hunting trip this year with 4-6 Uncles/Cousins. Looking for high populations antelope as we'd like to buy 3-4 tags each for does. Is the population around Gillette still exceptionally high? Ten years ago it seemed like there were more antelope out there than prairie dogs. Back then, WY game and fish had landowner lists that wanted nuisance antelope removed. Not sure why but those lists are no longer kept. Any suggestions on areas to start looking for access would be appreciated. Turd Furgeson trapper T Joined: Nov 2017 Posts: 498 SD	Me and three buds got doe tags in the unit east of Buffalo, we went the second week to avoid the orange army. The BLM had been hammered as we expected, knocked on a ranchers door and said we just wanted to shoot does and he told us where to go and we limited out in about 15 minutes. We bought him some whiskey as a thanks. Stayed in little cabin at the edge of Buffalo, think it was 75-100 a night and they had a shop we could butcher in. Got flipped off by the kid working at Taco Johns, fun trip.

3togo trapper 3 Joined: Jan 2018 Posts: 1,710 Henry Co, IL	Do some more research. There is a ton of public land in Wyoming. Last year I saw more antelope than in many past years. Talk to the Fish & Wildlife people. They have different options for the public to access private land if you don't want to hunt public.

johnsd16 trapper J Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,192 ID-40	Doe tags are not always super easy to get anymore. Spend some time looking at the demand sheets and pay attention to where the tag is valid (private land only, certain side of a road, only within 1 mi of irrigated land, etc).
