Former cameraman and Stan Zuray are trying to do their own show.

One of the few shows I looked forward to and very excited that they're trying to do this

Looks like they've raised quite a bit so far. I'll be donating and spreading the word. Huge fan of Stan and I look forward to seeing more.

Far as lack of response, posts get buried here all the time what with all the important talk about sports, politics and colonoscopies 😀

If it was a show about Charlie Wright I would be more excited. Or if Joey was the star. Stan is a great guy and he has a VK540 and gives me advice on making it less of a lemon. But still Yukonmen was a team effort and just Stan might be a bit slow.

When Yukon Men was starting the show it was going to be just about me. One guy from Tanana and then they were going to find a couple more from other parts of the state. I sent them stuff about others from Tanana and they thought they would try just doing it about Tanana people and so the show happened that way. This is the same way. I'm just helping make something positive in the village here happen. The production crew (one of my best cameramen on Yukon Men and his media savvy wife) has barely the resources to film me at present. [Linked Image]
If this effort fails I'll have an expensive professionally done video about my life for my YouTube channel and we all go home. If it happens and was ever big, and a series of documentaries, it'll include my life which is my family, friends and people in this town - much like before. Except the reason this cameraman is doing it is because he felt a side was missed of the true nature of the life here in favor of the drama in the past show and he wants to capture that way more this time. Basically a lot of money and time has been spent so far by production (Ryan and Kari) and we thought we'd see if the thousands of people wanting the show back on for over a year now would be willing to help fund it.
One thing about doing it this way is the exact same quality of video is taken, if not better (we now and later would only be using the best cameramen/producers and we know who they are) There are no top heavy companies full of presidents and executives needing big salaries. And all the editing is simple with the software available nowadays. A 1/4 million dollar big company TV episode can be made better with a few right people for a tiny, tiny fraction of that $. We just need the tiny, tiny fraction to do it. And so the Kickstarter fundraising thing. Hope this explains some. Best to everyone. Back to skinning marten and my wolf on the floor. Stan

Would be cool to see Joey now that he seems more set up.

Stan correct me if I'm wrong but a kickstarter campaign is like an investment where you may get something in return right if this takes off ?

This isnt no Go fund mev thing.

If you go to the Kickstarter site you see the things that are offered at different donation levels. None of these are equal compensation for the donation unless one adds in the desire to help see it happen. I myself may not even see any pay for this effort and I don't care. The camera/production crew may only see compensation for their airfare and expenses of which they have some already for a trip to film for a week. We don't know but are willing to put a certain effort to see if it can be done. If an investor level person was to come on board that could be negotiated as to compensation. We are at present relying on smaller donations to get to a minimal funding level that would make a season series of documentaries. Thanks Again for interest, Stan

I'll drop what I can right now. At least as much as a couple of senior movie tickets. Will do so each month. Go get 'em!
