Wife's cat won't eat. Been to the vet twice already in less than a week. Won't drink either. Know she has an infection, she's on meds, but we can't get her to eat anything. Tried dry cat and kitten food, dry dog food, wet cat food, tuna, sardines, ez cheese. Really don't want to put her down, but doc says she needs to eat by Monday or there's no coming back. Been giving her fluids and supplemental nutrition gel (and you thought giving a cat a pill was bad).
Any idea for how to get her to eat/drink? Don't need remarks about 22's or antifreeze. If it's her time it's her time, but we want to give her every reasonable chance to pull out of this.
Thanks.

I cook up some rice with flavored bullion when our felines are feeling poorly and refusing to eat. Scrambled eggs are another choice. Hope things work out and she starts eating.

Thisbut roll it up into small balls or chunks big as a thumbnail and tease her with it roll it around in front of her and get her interested and then let her catch it, chances are that she will then nibble on what she has caught My cat it was bacon I swear he would have come out of his grave for a nibble

age?
eggs are a good try.
have you put the cat in a place away from all other animals , kids even you and your wife for several hours at a time with 2-3 kinds of food and water available.
my guess would be organ failure of some type , intestinal infection might be another thought but like people if the cat has decided it is done all you can do is try.
good luck
edited , also a fresh new litter box , I have a friend whose cat as he puts it requires a Zen litter box and will hold it for days if that is not provided.

She's about 11. We have her in her favorite part of the house, away from the other critters and people. Multiple foods available at same time, she won't take treats. This all started maybe Sunday or Monday, not sure. Saturday she was running around the house jumping baby gates that were use for the dogs. Vet ruled out FLV; kidneys are affected, but that could be from not eating, hard to say. Box emptied Monday night, no stool since.
Lost the other cat last month, thought this one needed a friend so we got a kitten (2 weeks ago tomorrow), but it looks like I'll be burying both cats once the ground thaws. 4 pets in 6 months between us, what are the odds?

Mix soft cat food with some cajun hot sauce. Slap it under her tail and it will get licked off in a hurry!
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

I try different vet, I have 2 pet house cats an yes I posted a cpl years ago about sick cat an nothing but smart remarks about a 22 bullet is cheap an if u got pay a vet bill to kill cat , etc, there was some lady on here, nevef post nomore that was from south an constantly after every post I made , a superviser at McDonald's I think , I am thinking infection or something else internally wrong. I went to vet an different one was at clinic, a total ripoff, I thought when see him, all he wanted to do is run up tests an make $$, I had way over $100 spent an want keep on an on, an he said cat didn't have a tempeture. Left with some expensive cat liter to be used for urine test after blood work, I call the vet up that see him before , with infection, he gave me liquid antibiotics an shot before an cat got sick an coulndt give cat liquid medicine, brought cat back, had a temperature , N gave him pills try an said the shot was not enough an the liquid antibiotics, coulndt keep down , there is a way to give cat a pill an works very easy , ask ur vet or read online or watch u tube, , gave cat 1 pill, start notice improvement hrs later. Next morning , cat much better, wouldn't drink water unless forced, eat nothing, just lay around , would die, internal infection, male nuetred cats get urinary tract trouble an i have mine on diet, always was overweight but worse now , yes unfortunately vets are very expensive, the one I see is chesper than others but ok services, I couldn't afford a dog or have time with walks, dogs are much more upkeep, more expensive, much more money at vet
