Just wondering if anyone has met him or uses his baits and lures. Watched a lot of his stuff on YouTube. Still watching actually.

I met him before, seen him do demos at conventions. And I to watch his YouTube stuff, and have listened to his trapping radio. I gotta say his saying make sense like " put some meat on the table".

Let me sugar coat this

although I use lures I make mostly, his Enrager is very good.
If ya want to talk to him, message him at his site...…. www.wolfernation.com
I speak to him there or at conventions..he is very approachable and shares info
He let me use his mini video on my website showing how to use portable pockets for beavers.

I never took to him, always seemed whiny to me. Hear he does a good business though.

Never used any of his stuff but I watch his videos. I dont agree with everything he does but he has opened my eyes to somethings that make alot of sence. And he shares more of his knowledge than anyone else for the benefit of the trapping community. I personally like watching him.

I have several of his videos. All of them are very informative and entertaining. His beaver video , The Art of Professional Beaver Control changed my nuiasance beaver trapping from so so to being very efficient. He also knows how to make money. His video on the business side of trapping is full of great info. I have used his Enrager very successfully and his beaver food lures are extremely productive. I have great respect for the guy.

I’m my opinion, he sells a lot of snake oil. More in the business of catching gullible trappers than anything. Some of what he says makes sense, but often times, I just find myself shaking my head.

I think sometimes people get misunderstood. I like Clint a lot and find he has good lures and videos. He's not fake and I believe he has good intentions all around. He has many friends and I believe puts on no false fronts. He digs the well deeper as we all do. With everyone I find you can find good or bad in all of us trappers depending on what you look for. I'm not saying anyone has to agree with me and I don't know their histories but I think we all have more good in us than we often want to show. Scratch the surface and underneath we'd all come together for each other. Clint would help anyone that really needed it in my opinion.

I can agree with everyone here. I think he is a great guy and great advocate for trapping. I agree with the statements on some of his sales, particularly his newest pitches. As a teacher I think he speaks to people on a different level. Some people have a teaching ability and some people just talk to you as if this is the easiest thing in the world. I'm not a fan of his teaching style but I think he is a good guy.

You will never realy know a trapper.Unless you Partner with him for a week or two.
Clint and I partnered for 6 weeks or more in the past.
I would do it again.
He is willing to learn. Thats a big point. In a partner.
He's willing to shaire his Knowage. I'm willing to learn. No man Knows it all.
Hard worker
Holds up his end,of the work of the day.
Fun to be around, we had many laughs.
Cindy was a great host. While we were using their home as a trapping camp.

Had never met him or heard of him before F&T came on the scene. Same with Mr. Dunlap, or others on their TV shows or website product sales.
Gary Schumann seems like he would be a real fun dude to trap with and talk to. Simple sets, homemade wooden 160 holders, homemade wood rat platforms and #1 longs, Gary has a lot of stuff in his videos I really liked.
Not sure what I think of Clint. Seems to very experienced. Liked his beaver snaring videos, those were similar to my own techniques we use here.
This is a tough business and kudos to anyone trying to make a living at it.
Jim

Met him once when he came out and was the headliner at an AZ convention. Nice guy and very generous of him to come all the way out.

No question he likes to make money and once he saw in person all the cage traps I was selling and how the Western guys had figured out how to get bcats into cage traps it was only a matter of a few months that he had a cage trap for sale. Or associated with. The "NB" or Norm Brokwell. Don't know who that is but always assumed it was just invented that summer and never tested. Can't say for sure but it came out immediately following the AZ convention. Cant blame them just my pet peace to sell something before it's thouroughly tested and proven.

My hat is off to CL for making a living trapping and all the things he does for our trade. I just personally care for the salseman style. Perhaps because I don't have those abilities.

Well mercer if his cages are inferior to yours it will show in the end so the reason he produced one is irrelevant really? There are a few others out there that made cages as well do you have the same feeling about them?
