What's for Supper Tonight? We had sirloin steaks from our neighbor's beef, mashed potatoes from the last of Zim's garden Yukon gold potatoes, and mini steakhouse wedge salads with blue cheese and pomegranate seeds. Good stuff here!

Thanks, Willy! I hope i was a tasty protein shake. Some of those are pretty delicious. I think our neighbor only raises beef for his extended family. He came over and just dropped off some steaks and burger and roasts, all for some debt he felt he owed because we had him over for our opening day of deer season chili party, I think. It's hard to figure because he does so much for us, but if we do anything for him, he has to pay us back many times over. Needless to say, he's one great neighbor and friend.

That looks quite tasty. Now I am thinking about steak.

Nothing special tonight, but on Valentine's day I came down from the farm and took my wife to a small fishing port just across the border for lunch. Great restaurant. I consumed a kilo of rib steak as usual with some wild prawns to start and my wife had fish soup then calamari with garlic. A helluva cheesecake for dessert too.

As for stuff I cook, yesterday was the last of my beets in a borscht with onions and potatoes from the garden, and the last of my swiss chard sautéed in garlic with bacon from a neighbor.

Sounds like nobody on this site is going hungry.
