Last week my bigger finished coon went $25. I was happy with that.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

That's not what they paid by far in NW MO yesterday(I know different quality). It really is a different quality of fur. Nothing the trapper can do about that but move. Not an option or even a consideration for most, so we make do with what we have, and can still enjoy our state and the opportunities it has to offer. Not defending gwf on prices. It's just a difference that has existed and exist even when fur prices are good. If you're only using one outlet for your fur, it takes a lot of your options off the table. Just something to consider. Gotta look around, take your time if you think you have something that should bring better money than you're getting.

Sold some fur to gfw. Had some early season (and late season) and damaged goods that dinged the overall coyote average. My biggest bunch of coyotes sold at 80 though, and the second largest group I had at 60. About half my coon went at 18. The rest at either 10 or 5. 7 dollar red foxes were a bit of a disappointment, everyone is gloomy about the coon market but 89 percent of my coons sold for more than my foxes did!
A couple carcass badgers @ $15 6 rats @ $1.25 1 cat @ $175 1 small cat @ $60 So your coon average was about $11.00 or so.
