To remove ice, does anyone ever pour warm water on the fur to make it easy to comb nice?
I brought home a mink last night. It had some ice chunks on it. I suppose too hot of water could be a problem, but I can't imagine a little warm h20 would hurt anything. Just curious. Thanks.

I don't - just let them hang and thaw.

I fire up my wood stove in the shed and keep it between 40 and 50 degrees. Just don't hang them too close to the stove. I keep them about 8' away to thaw.
You want the thawing process to go slowly to avoid damage to the fur.
