It's always safe for a politician to be for or against something when their gut instinct tells them there's never any danger of it happening. Then along came Trump.

Pretty obvious to me that most members of congress were not actually going to do anything real to stop the illegal immigrant influx or the wall would have been funded in the last 2 years. The most obvious fix for the situation would never get done if left to congress. Its not the only fix but when you speak of stopping people from walking across the border illegally a barrier is obviously the first thing to do. many politicians want to tear down any barrier that exists and do away with ICE/border patrol.....what does that tell you?

Reverse the scenario just once - anyone that would cross the Mexican border ( to go into Mexico ) without proper authority and/or procedures - will end up in a Mexican prison. Think I'm kidding - try it.

The main reason that most democrats politicians now do not want the wall is that President Donald Trump's name will permanently be attached to the wall and he will be virtually undefeatable in the next presidential election.

It is the same reason they are attacking his very proAmerican financial policies.
