My user name is my name. I have nothing to hide, so I went with that! I googled it once, scared me to death how much crap came up. And there was stuff that was posted on tman.!

I tried my old name and got a post from 2007. Just remember Rags joke and if your screered there is guy under your bed then cut the legs off. In other words dont do stupid stuff like threaten someone. I think in Illinois they can use social media to refuse your foid card, or atleast trying to pass it.

Mine came up with 3 pics, and what's crazy it was all pics with me in them, one holding a big buck k I killed, o,e holding a black coyote and one with a bobcat. Most pics I post are just the animals, funny how the 3 on there all have me with the animal

My username actually brought up Mauser guns. I didn't dig deep enough to find post. If I added "mauser06 trapper" or something I started seeing posts and pics...a lot of pics were mine..a lot were from posts I replied to...what happens on the internet goes on the internet for the most part. Some exceptions and ways to hide it ..but then the site would basically be by invitation only and you'd have to get the direct link to it.

From what I gather... your suspect is probably a younger fellow who hasn't quite figured out the etiquette around here. Seems harmless to me. A bit irritating at times, but harmless. I tend to be a pretty positive thinker though.

It's gonna depend on how unique your username is. If your username is "john123" you ain't gonna be at the top of the list. If it's "itrapcoyotesandskunks" then it's gonna be a short list. Don't forget, everyone's google results are different too.

Mine comes up with convention photo's from NTA and couple post also post from graybeards. I've know my handle came upon google for some time. It's pretty much all I use on net sites. If you want to see a ton of stuff come up about me google my real name with feral cat next to it. I haven't done it for a while but if I remember right got like 100,000 hits. My life is an open book anyway and I've never put anything on a forum or board did want seen in public.

The next few entries were about a company that makes medical devices (back braces, etc). After about 7 or 8 entries for that company, there were a couple of links to Tman posts that I posted on, I didn't go any further.

When I type in my real name, all sorts of interesting items show up. A dance studio I took tap dance lessons from when I was 8 years old. My engagement announcement when I was a senior in collage. My work with the OTC fur sales. I google myself every once in a while to see what else they have posted about me.

Im rather disappointed in google. At least it got my website

Just checked my name and user name on here. Lot more people with my real name in the US than I would have thought. I didn't see anything directly related to me. Only non-related items under my user name. But then I don't have a smart phone or use any direct payment method through the bank for bill paying unless required. Nor am I on ANY social media type website.

Google has mikehunterman with 7 photo's and one was mine of a cat but when I clicked on it it pulled up about a hundred more of many different people. None was me because I never put photo's of me on anything if I can help it. Dogpile and yahoo both have me with a trapperman post about chestnuts.

In hind sight I should have never started this thread.

The more unusual the user name the fewer other places it will be used and if unusual enough only T.man post would show. if you type the user name and the word trapper in the search box it bring the Tman posts to the top.

Mine brought up my profile and all my posts and was even able to get into private messages. If that is the case anyone could find out your true identity and address if you do biz on the t-shed!
