About 3 minutes ago I saw a robin sitting on my deck. I think he's a bit early.

Must be nice living down south Beav. I'm waiting to see a polar bear up here.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

No the puter desk faces the deck. LOL

I think that robins GPS must have mal functioned. Temps around here look like they are going to be In the 20 Degree range for at least the next 6 days or so.
In this case it's not about the early bird getting the worm It's about if It's going to get frost bite.

I've been meaning to take pics of some of the blooming daffodils and rhododendrons I've been seeing lately just to be mean to you fellas.

Robins never left my neck of the woods all year. I have seen them in large numbers in heavy protected areas where there must be plenty of food. It has been a very cold winter here that may break records this year. So, ya, spring is coming the day after spring was done last year, if you went by the robins are back. LOL It seemed that was a way to tell at one time, but not sure that is true any more in my area.

They are confused , last year it they were about 3 weeks early.

but it is a start I saw geese flying north last night also.

but I wouldn't mind if they were right I am starting to get low on firewood.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Spring on the way here too. Today so far I've seen daffodils blooming, Bradford pears blooming, maples red with buds and other trees in bloom. Supposed to be 75 here on Sunday. It was in the 80s a couple weeks ago. Chilly and raining the last few days though.

I had one too. He has been frozen to the deck since August.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Better hope the wind does not head from our direction still pretty darn cold for a robin.

There is one in my crab apple tree right now. I didn't zoom in so you could see all of the snow.

Snares are pulled and put away. Now spring can come, better start working on a few 330's. Hopefully we will be thawed out before the spring beaver season is closed in May.
