Sounds to me like those KY buyers might have drank a bit to much Moon shine before the sale. hahaha oh come on Don, haven't you heard FUR IS BACK! Your going to have to get off your wallet, lol.
High price's BUT a reflection of your fur handling! They wouldn't be paying those price's for matted up mud coated junk drug in! Is why average's at ALOT of these state auction's are so low, too much junk being drug in and sold for whatever they can get for it.

I’m with don here, watched a bunch of it on Facebook and prices seemed crazy for that section of fur. Saw 2x coon go for over $9 each, select heavy coon didn’t even do that good at had a last year. Saw some beaver sell that looked like they would need to do $12 a pound to break even, $50 plus average Kentucky coyotes? Hope they are right but not holding my breath.

Those prices are in line with the OSTA February sale.

Ksp107, If you don't mind saying, what was your lot number? Mine was 77. I had lot number 34. I was the first one right after the lunch break.

I have sold to Don Wolf on several occasions, he can comment on my fur handling. There was plenty of junk there, just as you describe above. I can't believe some of the stuff people bring to that sale... I'll admit, I never thought I would see the day when Id average over $50 on coyotes. I did have some exceptional ones, but still, they are KY coyotes.... The 2 cats at $75 were a surprise as well, the top ones up to that point were $55 or so. Some of the otters were bringing$18-$25 dollars, but they were not put up well at all. Honestly, I would have been happy with getting $30 apiece, let alone $50. I wasn't the only one walking out of there all smiles!!!!

Sounds to me like those KY buyers might have drank a bit to much Moon shine before the sale. We can only hope that those kind of prices will be paid to the fur buyers in the coming Months. I have my doubts. Corey you did exceptionally well. Good for you my friend. Thanks Don!!!! Looks like Im heading to Alabama soon, Ill be sure to collect the castors!!!!
