One of the places I keep plowed is drifted 4 feet deep all the way across. We will see what that old 3/4 ton Chevy and Boss Power V can do.

I have nothing clever to put here.

All that scrub brush along the driveway is causing your drifting problems.Get rid of that and pole up a snowfence in the field, and it will save you a lot of problems.

You boys may have some of the best fur in the world but if I had to put up with that weather for it I don't want it.

Mine is 420 yards long and looks just like that. We had to stop driving in 3 weeks ago. We hike in. Had to get a otter sled to haul in propane, gas, food and laundry. Come on Spring!! smile

Looks like my driveway. I have a Boss plow on my old 83 Dodge W350. I have to be moving about 20-25 miles an hour to get the snow up over the drifted sides of the road. My driveway is about 1/4 mile long. I have about 2 foot of snow on my roof. I ordered an Avalanche Roof Rake. Best thing I've ever seen to remove snow from your roof.

Looks like mine too, but mine is only 1/2 as long. It's been blowing here since yesterday evening. I haven't started cleaning mine out yet, figure it'll just fill right back in. Plus, the county plow hasnt come by yet, so I'm not going anywhere even if it was clear. County is asking people to stay off the roads, the boss called and said to stay home. The walk behind blower is gonna get a workout when I finally get to it. Probably have to cut it with a shovel then blow it off to the side. Not looking forward to it.

As soon as I get that done we won't have plowable snow for 10 more years smirk

Well that just ended my envy of y’all being able to see tracks in the snow when trapping. I’ll take the rain and mud/clay. We might get stuck but at least someone can get to us if we do. And I can get to work and home every day without any issues.
Y’all stay safe and warm up there!

I was complaining about the drifting on my small driveway until I saw yours. I felt lucky after that and was almost happy to get out the blower and shovels to take care of it this morning. More snow expected tomorrow...what a surprise.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Yep. I seriously doubt a truck would even do it. Drifted snow here is typically packed too hard and heavy. A tractor will move it, but the problem with plowing is that it leaves berms to create even bigger drifts next time, and then you’ll have nowehere to push the next batch. A blower will get rid of it without making frozen berms.

And your “buddy” who left you a tractor width clearly doesn’t know squat about moving snow, or is just lazy. Ask him if he wants you to remove all the beaver or just make 1 pass. Then trade him the same in snow smile

I agree with BOCO for once, lose those trees and go out in the field 100 feet and put up some snow fence....B....

Removing the trees would help but I hate cutting trees down and they help for wind protection for the land on the other side of road. I would look at making a temp trail/road to the left of those tree in the field and use that to drive into the place just in times like this year. The trees are there to catch the snow already. It might not be possible to do that but if it doesn't happen every year I would drive out there and leave the main road plugged and leave the trees.

LOL >>> now 330 you have another option and everyone telling you what to do. LOL Good luck!

Or use the money to move to a state that doesn't have 11 months of winter and 30 days of rain.

I have nothing clever to put here.
