Again, out of the park! Are you going to be in my neck of the woods, this year?

Hope she get's well, soon. I have a family member in the hospital, as well. Progressing good. Always have a couch or rack here, for you.

What a great looking piece of art as always very impressive to say the least ! I'm sure the bidding will be fast and furious I was hoping to be able to attend the fling this year but it's just not going to happen, I sent snares up to be sold on the silent auction as my way of saying thank you for helping us ( the MTA ) fight the anti trapping folks here in Montana. Any chance a lower 48 state dweller can buy this! Seriously can we bid and receive? I do not see why you could not have an "agent" bid for you. We do that when we are auctioning off hides and antlers at the Fur Auction. You might want to stay on the phone with that person during the bidding. It can get a little "fast and furious." Just putting in a single bid ahead of time could leave you a tad frustrated when the actual live (and occasionally inebriated....) in-person bidders got wound up at the Fling! I assume that you are aware that these pieces bring in a LOT of money each year. A single bid of only $2000-3000 might not win. Pete

That is absolutely unreal workmanship! How long did it take to do just one chain link? Wow...blown away.

unreal thanks for sharing. The amount of tedious work that went into that is amazing. How many walrus tusks for the whole project? Absolutely fantastic!

[quote=wissmiss]That chain is a rather basic chain. I think next year you need a chain that is a bit more complex. Like a B&L chain. Just something to think about.[/quot Actually I think the curvature of the victor chain would be much harder to carve than the strait lines of the old b@l chain. I am by no means an expert artisan like 114 is though.

You can tell that he is truly a master artist. Just look at all the clutter in the background of them pics!

All pre MMPA ivory. No problems depending on state law. If you live in California you are SOL! great work as always, still remember seeing a couple for real.Pictures look good but fall a bit short of the reality I believe that last sentence quoted to be true regardless of circumstances.
