The difference between a mink killing chickens and a weasel killing chickens is that a mink will kill every chicken while a weasel will leave some behind. The mink will only eat the heads and leave the rest of the carcass. The mink in this photo killed quite a few chickens.

My uncle had a weasel kill over 100 chickens in one night. They don't always leave any behind. Weasel died and the deaths stopped.

I had a mink take a chicken every four or five days. Caught the mink, no more losses. So no, they don’t kill them all at once as a rule set in stone..

Had a mink killing mine like this when I had chickens, he also was taking some small bantams and hiding them in a nest where the grain auger went under floor grates on the grain leg.

All of the mink that I have had kill all the birds at once and leave none alive. A weasel might do that but did the weasel eat all of the heads off of the chickens.

No...weasels just kill, kill, kill and kill some more. I Have to wonder how long it takes a weasel to kill 100 chickens. Good thing they aren't 20lb animals. We'd be in trouble.

I read somewhere that a weasel killing a rabbit would be equivalent to a man killing a 5000 lb animal with his bare hands.

A least weasel weighs about an ounce. A cotton tail rabbit weighs between 2 and 3 pounds. So the rabbit out weighs the least weasel roughly 32 or more to 1. A 150 pound man taking on something that out weighed him 32 to 1 would be taking on an animal that weighed around 4800 pounds. Seems Boco's statement is fairly accurate.
