First for me, I've caught some light color ones, but this one was blonde in my opinion. Is this rare? Thinking about putting it on taxidermy.net

I'd consider that a true cinnamon. Have one almost identical hanging on my wall. Congrats on the rare catch! I've only taken two cinnamons out of thousands of coon.

Less than 1% of coon taken are that colour.

Blonde or cinnamon or what ever color you want to call it - neat color Raccoon and rather rare. Taxidermy market is the way to go. Unless you want to keep it for yourself. smile

Nice catch.

Depending on how much I could sell it for as is, might determine whether I keep it for myself or not. If it's only worth $50, I'll have it mounted. Any idea on pricing on these things? Was probably 12lbs, not huge, but very nice looking.

I have only caught one that color in 50 years and 1000s of coon, although this last year I caught a red one. Same color as a fox, it's a little one though.

well the more I think about it, I agree. But for the right price tag, it would look real good on someone else's wall too. I just don't know what they are worth. Tried a search on taxidermy.net, but for some reason I can't pull up any threads on their website right now.

Nice catch! I call it cinnamon I have one on my wall. Only one I caught out of many thousands. But only maybe half of the many thousands that Dave plueger has caught.

Cinnamon. I caught 1 some years ago, it is hanging on the wall. I was told they are quite common, I caught exactly 1 in 54 years trapping.
