Apparently, there was a bit of a "chinchilla scam" running around here with the local farmers years ago where some slick con man convinced all these soy bean growers that there was a lucrative market for chinchilla pelts and got people to buy breeding stock etc. I remember seeing them for sale as "pets" when I was a youngster also. I assume lots of farmers tried to make a quick buck and lost their shirts and then had to unload all those chinchillas LOL. Seems to go in cycles here. Most recently it was pigeons... some guy convinced every farmer in 40 miles of me that fancy restaurants would buy up every squab they could hatch for big bucks LOL. Before that it was african nightcrawlers and before that it was emus.
Sorry to hijack a bit, just that this thread brought up a funny memory for me.
Just happy to be here.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

. Beautiful, pelts. Touching them was like touching nothing. Kind of like touching my long locks of hair then?
I have nothing clever to put here.
