benchmade or kershaw are the only brands of new production knives i can get sharp and stay that way for any reasonable amount of time.

I carry a Case Muskrat double blade in "whiskey barrel" most days. Excellent steel with a really good snap to the blades when they open. For church or other dress-up occasions, I have a smaller American steel Buck (102 maybe) that you all but forget is in your pocket.
I'm totally in disbelief how many men these days don't carry a pocketknife. I'll use mine at least a dozen times a day for whatever reason, can't imagine not having a good pocket knife on me.

Buck 301 nice and sharp Hen and Rooster sowbelly, not very sharp, nice tight fit though.
Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes...... Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....

Love my OKC Rat 1! Perfect size, fit, form, steel, etc. Just a great EDC. They also make a slightly smaller Model 2 and many other great knives. https://www.amazon.com/Ontario-Knife-ON8848-BRK-Rat-1/dp/B07BSDCCY5
