The cashiers at Walmart are competing to see who can serve the fewest customers, hence self checkout.

My introduction to work was on a farm and there is always something to be done. When one task was stalled you didn't sit and wait for someone to tell you to do something else, at least not after the first day, lol, you looked around and found something to do and did it. No such thing as "I wasn't hired to do that."

Can't take that out of somebody and apparently there is an expiration age where it can't be put in.

Your answer is in your statement. You are basing your thinking on one. The stores I have been to have more employees then one. Lol

I will not defend lazy, do only what they have to with less energy output as possible workers.

To many times I have been stuck in a checkout line where the worker barely had the energy to move. Or they want to strike up a conversation and talk rather then work.

Give me a machine any day over that kind.

Oh my Lord. Can't begin to describe what I saw In the Grand Rapids MN store. That was better than a year ago and I'm still using industrial strength eye drops to try to clean that image out.

Best I remember "Quest for Fire " pictured the big ladies as breeders and as someone who could survive the long hard winters. The skinny ones were for snacks, lol.

If every body was as perfect as me, oh what a world this would be!

We do all our shopping at Walmart. Doesn't everyone? Walmart, Aldi, and Kroger if we can't get something at the first two.

I actually haven't seen anything too terrible at my local one. Nothing like you see pics on the web of.

I have a little different take. I like to see people employed because I hate for my tax dollars to pay them to sit. I never go to self checkout because I feel like I'm taking away an entry level job from someone that needs it.

I don't go to wally world often, when I do I use the self checkout, because the lines are slow and long. I've thought about sending them a time card for my work. How about a 5% discount for self checkout?

Interesting to see the price variations from store to store. Was in Nebraska last week and there prices always seem to be cheaper then here up nort.

That one in Grand Rapids scares me. Crazy place.
