Wolfdog91 OP trapper Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 11,871 Amite county Mississippi	I think y'all kinda know where this is going but I don't wanna say the big S word ,anyhow if y'all could piece and match whatever traps and parts y'all wanted make a trap specifically for harvesting small game /small furbearers ,what would you make to be in your opinion the ultimate trap for that purpose and why ?

Trigger assembly would be treadle/pan type rather than push-thru wires, but would be barely at the height of the lower kill-bars, not sticking up. Treadle would be wood or some other, very strong, innocuous material (not metal). Stainless kill-bars to reduce or eliminate the staining from steel on pelts, especially weasels. Strong enough to dispatch mink immediately. Cubby boxes behind the trap would be an optional add-on. Target would be squirrels, weasels, civets, mink. Adjustable pan tensioner to eliminate by-catch of mice. I'll think some more on this, and will expect a dozen prototypes by next October 1, Wolfie. Jack

Jack Idea :what about removable trigger wires for use in water ? Or would that not work because of the the pan ?
