Still do my hotdogs this way.......good Ol sandwich bread

Looks better than any bun to be honest.

Mine didn’t either, and we bought extra bread when it was on sale and froze it for later. I guess either one would freak out most kids today.

A lot of our meals came from the tailgate of our Ford country squire wagon, with woody sides, and a 10ft whip CB antenna. Road trips, stopping at small country stores getting a full ring of Bologna, onion, tomato and both mayo and mustard. But when we had hotdogs, even us hill people tried to go out of our way to secure hot dog buns, don't get me wrong sometimes it couldn't be helped. In between grocery day, things could get dicey. But to purposely plan hotdogs with no hotdog buns is just plane savage!

Looks pretty darn good even coming from a Cheating Spy Gate Inflate Gate Aaron Henandez's old employer Hooker and Prostitute buying Owner Robert Kraft No Good Patriot fan ! Did I get all their scams and scandals covered ? I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting at least one that ends with the word Gate as well ?

I agree, seldom do I use a bun...much prefer a piece of bread.

Buns are fine... If you can find any that don't taste like century old sawdust.

It just irks the crap out of me that a team so obviously talented for so many years and with so many players and such a strong coach finds it a need to cheat and then gets caught as well several times.I understand wanting to have all the advantages a team can have at their disposal up to the point of cheating.

I also realize that they are not the only team that will hire thugs.

Iam a water trapper....did not chase fur for the last 3 years. Only doing nuisance beaver work in the spring and summer and getting paid for it. NH lowered our fisher take down to just (2) ....so why harvest them....I have taken plenty ovah the years...so no big deal.

I prefer steamer dogs in a bun with mustard. The onions stick in the mustard and more room for onions.

Only true aficionados know about steamer dogs. Great on a cold day driving. Sometimes they are at competitive rates 3 for $2 or 4 for $5.

The French eat tons of sausage but they also eat hot dogs, but finding buns is not easy. They call the hot dogs "saucisse de Frankfurt" and they are decent but I'll take a Ball Park or a Nathan's any day. It is one of the things on my list when I come back to the states.

Instead of the bun I used either baguette or a slice of bread like that and one other change I make is that instead of the hot dog I use a pork chop. Other then that its pretty much the same

50 years ago, we called those toasty-dogs. and I haven't had one for about that many years either. good stuff.

If you are going to put cheese on a hot dog then they should be surrounded by mashed taters and baked in the oven.Buns, bread, rolls, all ok but pan fry, bake ,steam or even nuke,but please do not boil my dogs.

ate lots of hot dogs wrapped with a piece of bread. been awhile since I ate one right off the stick I roasted it on. if it ever warms up I'm sure we will have a wienee roast
