We had a good 10" since yesterday. Sunshine now. Scooped a path to the truck and that's it. I'm going to wait for it to melt. I can drive over the foot or so on the driveway. Winter can kiss my achin' butt, at this point.

We used a lot of snow blowers on the railroad. We had more trouble with the belts and shear pins on the ones with the bigger 420cc engines.350cc seemed to be the optimum size for power and mtc.

Be careful shoveling the snow off the roof. Just found out that a 57 year old friend of my wife fell through a skylight on his roof yesterday. Must have miscalculated the location as he went right through and fell to his death! Chris

seems like every body is getting more than their share of snow this year. a friend of mine along with his sons are doing three roofs a day average for a month now, gotta figure $20 to $25 per hour or so much per job. he gives the older people a special price or they cant afford it. ya theres a lot of roofs falling in around here too.forcast for freezing rain isn't good for us here this time of year causes a lot of problems not good, give us rain when temp stays above 40 degrees(april) gonna have lots of water this spring, good for beaver I hope.still snow here right now got about 6 or 7 inches so far. feel sorry for you guys down south with them tornatos it scares me to see that.glad we don't get them.take care

Now the next thing will be flooding. I'm thinking we will see some of that this year again. The rivers open up I different area sooner then others and it has to come down the pipe. Rivers systems here vary in ice thicknesses but it is fairly thick where I'm at about 2 feet.
