An older friend of mine called this morning. He said his house was making noises last night.
He asked if I would come take a look. Soon as I pulled into the yardi said to myself, Oh crap!
His roof was buried in snow.
Grabbed a ladder n shovel not expecting what I was about to encounter. Once started, I had to keep at it.
Measured 7-8 different places and averaged 39 inches.

I'm as stiff/ sore as I've ever been. The old guy ain't got much for money but said he had 200.00 .
Told him to keep it and buy me a case of beer. I think he may have started weeping.

I'm sure we all know some elderly folks that are poor. Does the heart good to help em out

K, while on the subject of helping others, I'll give a huge shout- out to my friend osky.
There are 2 local boys ages 8 that were adopted by a VERY loving couple.
I believe the boys may have been born to women on drugs?
Anyway, these 2 kids are absolutely amazing!
I introduced them to osky and for Christmas, he bought them each a BB gun and fishing rods.
Those 2 boys are outside shooting and dreaming of going to Alaska to become big hunters.

You guys are good folks.

It's great to help people who truly need helped, especially when you choose to.

I am more literally pooped. I just caught and sorted around 300 adult coturnix quail. They certainly pooped on me a lot when I grabbed them, turned them over and vent sexed them. I set up a new breeding colony with 83 hens and 36 males and culled the rest. I also culled some older males and added 8 younger males to the next oldest colony.
