It is amazing that after 3 days you're not hungry anymore, I really get clarity of thought while in a fast not mention the health benefits from fasting...

Don't you lose muscle while fasting too?
Keith No, if you're losing muscle then you've fasted to long.

I have been doing that for years and have not been sick in years. I go as far in the day as possible and than only eat fruits that combine. https://www.graciemag.com/en/gracie-diet/No snacks and eat just twice a day. I've been doing the 16:8 intermittent fasting. We fast from 8 pm through noon. Aka, skip breakfast and morning snacking. Only been doing it about a month but so far I I am happy to have tried it. Happy trapping! ScottW

When my A1c hit 9.6 I started doing a once a week fast for 36 hours. I found it easy to do and that and watching what I was eating and swimming 3 times a week, I lost 30 lbs in 3 months. A1c dropped to 6.5
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

That will really clean out your body. I break the fast with pure coconut water. Anybody else go without chow for any extended period of time? I’m 9 days into a 10 day fast and I’m thinking about going 14. I’ve gone 7 days a few times but bever this long. Crazy how you dont really get hungry after 4 or 5 days. Any way, couldnt get into my biggest britches and have found this is the easiest way to shed 25 lbs. It will take 8 or 9 months to put it back on. Vicious cycle.

Muslim's during Ramadan fast for 29 or 30 days, if I'm not mistaken. I knew a guy that was a Muslim that really struggled with the fasting. I beleive he could drink water after sundown but that was it.

What benefits do you gain from fasting? I get to wear the clothes I own instead of buying bigger ones. They say it removes toxins in your body. I will say that I think more clearly.
