Guys and Gals,
I'm shopping for a different trapping truck. Much to my chagrin, the 8 foot full size box seems nearly extinct, especially in a 1/2 ton truck. Over the years I've grown to LOVE 8ft. box,
How do you trapper's efficiently and effectively /haul large loads of long stakes, drown rods, etc. on the line using these smaller box pick-ups? What's your system? Are there any good options or "work arounds"?
For instance my most common stake lengths, while rat trapping, are 7, 8, and 10 foot, respectively.
Any experience is appreciated.
Thanks,
Teal

Try going with the HAGZ's Clips goes on 3/8 smooth rod. 3/8 Rod hardly take up any room. I can carry over 2 dozen rod in a handful when meadow hoping, but i'm only using 4&6 footers also.

To save space , drowner cable and chains work great.
