I eat eggs very often and the docs say that both my good and bad cholesterol are very low. Can't seem to get the good stuff to get near 40 where they say it should be.

We raise chickens and I eat a lot of their eggs, more than a dozen a week.

I guess I'll just keep eating them until they're good for me again.

My grand father ate bacon and eggs every morning and lived to be 61.

16-20 eggs a day from our hens. We love fresh eggs with hammed venison or turkey meatballs. Deviled eggs are often in the fridge.

Wild turkey eggs are excellent, but have more cholesterol in them. We had over 1k Eastern eggs laid last year.

In the mid 1980s they had an "eggs are bad" campaign going. I happened to notice an article buried on A17 below the fold on a Friday that stated the Egg Council of America had "donated" $3.1 million to a Lefty group. That very next Monday there were "eggs are good" ads in newspapers and on tv. We all know ad campaigns are not implemented off the cuff on a weekend. Watching many, many incidents like that over the years has left me a bit jaded about their propaganda.

My grandmother worked for banks or indoors most of her working life, and eat toast and fruit for breakfast most of her life. My grandfather eat 2 to 3 eggs and 4 pieces of bacon almost everymorning, with his toast he was a school teacher and then a worked in a land fill doing HM work. My grandmother got skin cancer in here late 50s, it finaly won and took her home in here mid 60s. My grandfather died at 81, He died of disease similar to Lou Gehrig's. My point is when it's your time to go your going, so enjoy life, because no gets to leave alive.

But the glasses just keep getting thicker that could be a warning sign!

Yep how many times over the years have so called experts said? Eggs are good?..Eggs are bad?.... Wine is good? Wine is bad? Coffee is going to kill ya..Coffee can save ya?? Bacon Oh-My God!!!
I eaten and drank pretty much same way my whole life, try not to listen to that crap to much..Even if I did get cancer from eating to many hot dogs....

One thing I have figured out. Most people either like a particular food or drink or they don't. Some people die eating shell fish some don't. Some die eating a peanut some don't..
And everyone has their idea of what is good for you and what is not...Ppppttth! Not everyone is built the same. Eat what works for you don't worry about what the other folks eat..
Just make sure ya leave my bacon and eggs alone just because you think tofu is super food

I was going to say the same thing.

Studies are bad for you. Next they will tell us drinking water is bad. What is reallky bad for us is all of the chemicals and preservatives put into our food and drink.

i grow and shoot all i can to avoid as many said chemicals as i can.just started pork and kraut and know exactly whats in it.no chemicals that weren't already on the farm when the big guy made it.saw dad turn down a wad of money from the gas co. cause he didn't want to take any chances of contamination we may have found out about years down the road.

Father -in -Law is 98 Bacon and eggs , any thing with eggs slowing down a little only 1 can of beer a day ! Easy on salt.

Same thing I was going to say. A few lines in, they debunk their own study. Observational, not establishing cause and effect? Why use up the print? Why waste people's time?

Also worth pointing out that store-bought eggs and free range eggs are two different foods. A world apart nutritionally.

I may be a bit paranoid but I think the medical opinions of what is good or bad are industry driven. Coffee is probably a billion dollar industry and egg sales too. An industry's high dollar donation ( bribe) gets favorable publicity. Ever wonder why Mexican avocados are all the rage? Tasteless mush but sends a lot of dollars south.

I just seen it again this morning on one of those Sunday Morning Shows. Eggs are bad for topic from the findings released Friday. Lol
