I hate to admit it but in true "AA" format here goes...

Hi, I'm Dale and I'm a "Crappy Trapper"...

Not that i can't catch critters, just that for the time I spend at it I should do better.

But here's why...
My dad & grandpa were awesome trappers so i was blessed with a lot of tips and tricks that were passed on to me along with one of the most crucial aspect of becoming a good trapper "Preparedness"

But for me though, since a kid on, when the trapping season would finally come, it was always a struggle for me to stay focused on the matter at hand, that being, "setting traps".
It never would take much for me to get side tracked on the littlest of things I'd come across. Might of been as little as I'd jump a deer or rabbit to go chase after. or maybe I'd come across a hollow log I'd feel the need to probe at for a time or maybe start flipping rocks in the creek just to see what's under 'em.
Time would pass and yes I'd get some sets in but probably 1/2 of what I should have if I'd of kept with it...

I can't say i'm a whole lot better now as an old guy!

Trapping is different things to different people. For me, it's just being out there to soak it all in.
I was pretty good during 2013,14,15 years but these crappy prices sure make it easy for me to get distracted again.
Any other members to the club out there?

Hi Dale..... grin

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I've been crapping trapping free for several months now. Did the twelve steps, they work if you work them.

Eh...wot?
