I read the local community FB pages and have grown to hate certain phrases like "emotional support dog" or "fur baby". Seriously these are grown folks that live around me. These people are whackjobs.
Well needless to say I gotta yank some chains.

So how is the chain-yanking going?

I understand Totally....and the first thing they have to tell you is "He is a Rescue Dog"... and "we're his New" parents....

My generation grew up with the call to the wild. Most of us had a pull tugging at us to go live somewhere off the grid.

This generation is totally the opposite. They need to be part of something and are so dependent on others it's ridiculious.

Designating the mutt as emotional support allows 'service dog' classification and lets them bring those stinking drooling things to their table in restaurants and holding them over the meat or produce in super markets. But I can't go bare foot in either. It's a wonderful world we live in.

I own a few rental properties and as near as I can tell, “emotional support animal” is simply a means of getting out from under a no pet policy. It’s that simple.

Other things that annoy me are 50K pick ups with hard tops for the beds. Why did you buy a pick up? I had a brand new truck many moons ago and drove it down a rough muddy tractor path into the woods to pick up a deer and scratched the tailgate with his horns and couldn't have been happier. I loved driving it in the snow and letting it get and stay dirty. Just a pet peeve of mine, it's a truck let it be a truck.

I think the first reply was hoping he had a new friend. Lol

You can require they provide the proper documentation and licensing that it indeed is a service animal.

So a while back I put a post in a local community Facebook group looking for a dog sitter. One of the first people to respond to me was a young lady who had a lot of experience handling dogs. But when she used the term "fur baby" to describe my hunting dog, I decided to keep looking for a dog sitter. Pic of the alleged fur baby:

So I wake up to see that it has hit the fan, even the missus is ripping me a new one. LOL

Local lady posted chewing on the unknown person who hit her child's "emotional support dog" in the middle of the road and didn't bother to stop and pet it until it died or otherwise offer condolences.

My reply that has garnered such antipathy.

"Get him a teddy bear or blanket obviously you can't keep your mutts out of the road."

I love it when people post a picture of their dinner plate. I really need to know.

The scary thing though isn't the nasty f-bomb replies, some are quite amusing and I appreciate creativity, apparently disagreement these days requires background searches so the entire family and livelihood can be properly admonished.
