I went to this website and signed up. I was looking for a Colt King Cobra 357 with a shorter barrel than the 5" one I have now. It looks like you need a FFL to make a purchase. Is that so?

I think they just have to be shipped to an FFL dealer or license holder. Or at least that's how it used to be

You can purchase the gun on Gunbroker ( or any other firearms sales site ) but it will need to be shipped to an FFL so that they can take care of the transferring paperwork and background check. It's actually pretty easy to find a local FFL and they usually only charge around $25 for the transfer.

Yeah, you need to speak with your local gun dealers and get set up with them. They charge a fee to deal with the paper work and such. The guy here charges $35.00. The gun gets shipped to him and then you go in and fill out the paper work.

Here, an FFL holder will charge $25 to do the paperwork and have it shipped to them. I have Winchester model 94 and a pair of model 74's I need to sell.

Yep, all the sites are pretty much the same. The rifle I bought on-line last week just arrived today and I can't wait to see her. She is PRETTY!

There is a link on GB where you can search local FFLs on file with them and get the contact information (I think the link is callled "for buyers" or something like that). If you have someone you want to use that isn't listed, they just need to send in their FFL. I love GB and have bought too many guns by finding "just what I was looking for", even when I wasn't looking for it.

Great way to pick up antique or limited edition firearms everything above is correct the guy(FFL) who receives the purchase I made requires a copy of the senders FFL before he sends his shipping info or liscense he needs to know who he's dealing with

How hard is it to sell thru GB? I’ve got a swift and maybe a couple of others to move on.

Who SELLS guns? They are supposed to be bought, not sold. There is a gun show in Bemidji this weekend. You may be able to sell or trade them there.

It is simple. Set up an account and list your gun. I am an FFL but had an account long before I got a license. Just make sure you are clear in your ad that the buyer needs to check that their FFL will receive from a private individual otherwise they will need to cover a transfer fee on your end.

25-06. It's a Winchester Model 70 Ultra Grade. A Shot Show special from a few years ago.

Gorgeous rifle! I'd be afraid to take it hunting for fear of scratching that beautiful wood!

I have a few with wood like that. Sitting in an enclosed, heated stand they don't get beat up too bad.

I bought my 300 Mag Weatherby M V from Gunbroker site. Great sellers , smooth transaction. The prettiest rifle Ive bought to date, without un- necessary carvings or inlays to mess with all the gorgeous tiger eye grain. Added my scope with my gunsmith's help, good to go.

Nice rifle, 160 ! I was so excited in waiting for mine, I passed the UPS truck to meet him at my FFL dealer's shop ahead of time smile

This is a SG in 7mm-08.

I wish I could find pictures of the SG 7X57. I think that one may have the prettiest wood of them all.
