How do you usually handle beaver calls when the creeks are way up from spring runoff? This month it has been tough conditions in my area.

Mud piles using castor on their old travel lanes on land along the water's edge. Set on the prevailing wind as in mating they are territorial. Run a wire to drown and that will handle it smoothly. Castor is king in spring.

If it is legal in Wisconsin, shooting them is also an option if the trapping or snaring conditions are a no go.

I gathered and shaped enough good dry wood cut to size to be able to build 2 floats. Now I just need to decide on the best way to put them together.

I look for runs and use stands in deep water. They are a producer.

I've never seen the floating log set, but that is kind of intriguing john.
