Sir, I'm really not an antique collector . However , one thing I always keep an eye out for are covered wagon parts. Especially the ribs for the canvas. Not common , but every so often ....

They still Make them not all that many a year but there are still a few made every year or so, mostly for people that want something unique for their draft horses to pull in parades, reinactments ect, there’s also a demand for rebuilding old ones for the same reason

Used to go by a place that had several just sitting out along the road on display

My family loves to go antique shopping. We rarely buy anything. Just love looking. I’m always looking for old traps and very rare stuff. Here is a 1902 crockpot. It has thick iron plates that had to be heated, and then plates and food where placed inside. I don’t think it worked very good

I have a house full of them. I don't think I have a room in the house that doesn't have something antique in it. Both the wife and I enjoy antiques.

1850s candle lantern and the table it is setting on, the Hoosier in the background. Pre Revolutionary War "Sampler", lamp and wall sconce...

I know No "values" of Antiques, just what is Old and what I like.

I make lighting out of some old pieces, benches out of others...I have a windrow treeline thats starting to look like Sanford & Son. s place. I just enjoy the Hunt itself the most.

I have seen one before. I was told it was used on the Rail Road.

I'm not sure how long since they made THE covered wagon parts , only that the ribs are more common than I would've thought. Meaning they're still pretty rare but you can find them.

Oddest thing I ever saw was a child's viewing coffin in an antique store in OKC. Who in the world would buy something with such a sad purpose ?

If you guys like old covered wagons/parts/and how to make them go on youtube and watch EngelsCoachShop. This guy built two Borax wagons from scratch off the originals. And a whole lot more.. Be careful his videos and demeanor are addictive. I watched them for weeks on end and I have no desire to have and old wagon but it sure is interesting to watch a master craftsman do his thing.
