The U.S. Government is contending that members of Firearm Policy Foundation, Florida Carry, Inc. and the Madison society, who own bumpstocks, are protected by the stay issued by the D.C. Circuit on Saturday. We are awaiting a decision by the Court as to whether it will apply the stay to everyone or whether we'll need to seek further review at SCOTUS.

So is this what happened? Trump circumvented Congress, had the DOJ change the classification of bump stocks, so it would fit under the 1934 NFA, therefore making them illegal. Am I wrong in this, and am I wrong in saying WHAT A CROCK OF ****?

I have zero confidence in Trump or the Senate to advance the cause. I know, I know, Trump appointed and the Senate confirmed two decent Supreme Court Justices. However, after two years we haven't seen much else except, arguably, an erosion of our rights with the bump stock ban. And, there is a decent chance Trump loses in 2020 and that's when it's going to get even worse on the 2A front. Elizabeth Cortez O'Rourke will do whatever possible to destroy the 2A.

I suggest everyone buy every gun they want to own and/or pass down to their children and grandchildren before November 2020. I also suggest you stock up on ammo and reloading equipment and supplies.

Lug,received an e-mail from rep Causer the other day saying he felt our issue in PA is unconstitutional and he would be voting against it and doing everything he can to see it shot down.not much but thought i'd tell ya.

The ATF has said for years that the bump stocks weren't subject to the NFA, and then BOOM, they went and did us dirty. It sure as heck makes me wonder what else can or will be banned with the new interpretations. This isn't good!

The nomination and subsequent confirmation of conservative justices is one of the main reasons I voted for President Trump. Although it didn’t do us any good at all with the bump stock ban temporary stay because Chief Justice Roberts refused to hear the case.

I agree with your statement except I think Trump has a better chance in 2020 than you seem to. Not much has been done to advance and protect 2A in the last two years.

That is a bit of good news PCR, thanks for sharing. I’ve been so focused on the temporary stay against the bump stock ban that I haven’t really been following the registration bill here in Pennsylvania. That and I consider it to be nothing more than liberals pandering to their base and I never really thought it had a chance of becoming law.

Lindsey Graham caved and now the red flag thing is going forward to hearings. If passed, it would allow LE to confiscate firearms without due process.

Politicians will always be politicians. They give you lip service but they look out for their own self interest. We do have the Constitution going for us but we'll see how it holds up.
