Buy the softest toilet paper you can find, plenty of reading material, and or setup a tablet so you can watch a movie.
Oh ease off your diet a few days before and eat soups.

You will want a plate of chitterlings after the procedure. Good for colon health.

Eat less and drink a lot of water before you start your diet. makes it easier when you start to flush your system out.

slow your eating down for a couple of days before.
The procedure is nothing to worry about.

I sit on the throne with some good catalogs/magazines to drink that gallon of crap. When done for sure, I jump right in the shower. Make my appointments for first thing in the am, then take myself to the Chinamans for the buffet, and restoke. LOL

I've had a bunch of them. The procedure is no big deal. Over in 20 min. The prep is what sucks. The less you eat the day before prep the better. Eat little or nothing the day of prep. If you get the big jug of prep liquid to drink don't flavor it with anything you like because you will hate that flavor the rest of your life. Just suck it up and drink it down. Make sure you get clean. You don't want to have to do it again because you didn't do enough.

The prep solution is an electrolyte, a salt of some kind, that causes your colon to work in reverse and take in fluid instead of moving it out. I remember the label from my first scope prep bottle. It said "may cause slight anal irritation." Imagine that!!! You blow a gallon of salt water out your lower grommet and you MAY get "slight irritation." An antibiotic ointment is your friend.

I put it off until I was 53 because I was dreading it so much. When I finally did it, it was not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. I have found many things in life that I dread, the dread is worse than doing what it was that I was dreading. I may learn to act on that some day.

I be 60 in a lil over a year, I had couple down, it nothing at all, I never had any ansthia, because noone to drive, plus I don't get along ansthia, makes me sick, I drove to it. Had done an went eat after, u would think it hurt. But none. Had polyps removed. , No pain, get ready for it, with crap got drink is what i hate, I got up the morning before an was att end day. I asked if get in sooner an told them felt terrible an ask if could drink lil coffee an take Tylenol am they ok it, an got in early afternoon, years ago. There was some pain as used air pressure to inflate , now they use gas, co2, I think, inflate ur colon a de inflate. No pain
