I think there are more trappers posting on fb than on the trapping forums. I don't, but I have visited a few trapper's pages and was surprised at the number of trappers that use FB.

My wife wastes half her day on it and I hate it, but if I say something, she is quick to remind me how much time I spend on trappers farcebook! That's what she calls tman!

I don't condone any censorship rules on public forums. It's a slippery slope when you start telling people what they can or can't talk about.

Just got "out" after another week in FB jail. What's that, my 9th week in the last few years? My heinous crime? Uploading this meme, that I found on FB, to one of my albums on FB. No posting, commenting, arguing... nothing. Just tucked it in an album so I could be inspired by it from time to time.

Here is how it normally works:

There is a rule put forth by moderators. I.e. no political talk

Then most of the time that rule is used against conservatives. Because there is always a way to make something you don't like political. So then the moderators have to put exceptions to the rule. Such as unless the political speech is related to trapping or the 2nd etc...


If it a public platform for all public to get on. Then there should be no restrictions! None!

If it is a private platform like this one. Then there should be allowed whatever the owner wants.

The problem with this social media like Facebook and Twitter is:. That it has taken over as a way of communicating. If you want to get a message out? You go to one of these new platforms! Period!!!!!! Kind of like when radio and the phone 1st came out. These platforms should not be allowed to silence anyone! They arnt a news paper in such that they take responsibility gor the contents they put out. They put that responsibility on the person posting content. Then only allow the ideologies they agree with to be displayed! That is text book communism!

If these new communication platforms are allowed to restrict speech? It won't be long before only lefty talking points are heard!

Imagine if you couldn't use radio, phone, or TV if you were displaying Christian or conservative messages.

That's pretty much it in a nut shell.

Oh, I've posted tons of pro America, 2nd Amend, Founding Fathers and their vision for America, Christian, conservative, etc comments, shares and memes. No shortage of anti big.gov, socialism/communism/Statism/elitism, fake-news, eco-freak, moslem, etc stuff either.

Figure that stuff got me on a list, and they've a hair trigger towards me now. It was only 11 minutes after uploading that meme until I was tossed into the virtual clink. 1984 is here.

See I don’t agree. Facebook is a business. They should be allowed to set any restrictions they want. Forcing a business to run a certain way is Communism. Allowing them to do what they want is the complete opposite of communism. The government should have no say in how they run their business. The last thing we want is the governement regulating how a social media company should run. If you don’t like them, don’t use them. I haven’t used Facebook in years because I don’t like their platform. I have found other ways to get my messages out. I fact those other ways has worked better then Facebook.

I guess my problem is I am just getting old and refuse to bow down to people's egos, pride and humility … When I grew up, we had a bunch of guys that were tight and of many different nationalities. We called each other by what is considered completely derogatory today … I am of Irish descent … they called me "Mac the Mick". We had Italian brothers, we called the "Whaps". We had a couple of black guys, we called them "Jigaboos", A German kid we called a "Kraut". and several others nationalities... No one thought anything about it, we laughed and went about our business. Good Lord, today if you did that someone would want to have you arrested. Back in those days we were proud of it, not insulted or ashamed. People are just too thinned skinned today. I think we can all thank the media and politicians for this change. I am sure the younger people won't understand this … but I am sure the old timers will.
