I get mine in a BIG chunk.Band saw it into about 3/4" x3/4" peices. Then when I need some tea.I put 3-4 chunks in a gallon pot and boil. Then save the chunks ,they will make about 4-5 more gallons.

So.... it's not the same as rhinocerous horn, or vitamin E.

So.... it's not the same as rhinocerous horn, or vitamin E. It has about the same scientific backing.

I break in small chunks and grind it in the bullet grinder . I buy drawstring tea filters and put the powder in those .

Actually chaga is quite well studied from what I have found. The chemicals and compounds in it are known antioxidants and it has been found to retard and stop the growth of cancer cells in lab tests and in animal studies.
Disclaimer, more human studies are needed,.
I know another older gentleman who had a lung removed from cancer, and went hard on the chaga. Cancer free now for several years, which from what I hear from him surprised the doctors.
One thing, try and find anything negative about it, or studies that say it does nothing. So far I haven't found d much against it, and a lot of evidence for it's use.
