You guys keep going and you’ll be able to get 100 dollars a pound. Only if I loan my customers the 100 dollars.

we have fed our dogs beaver meat exclusively from november till March. between us Jerry and I have. 7 dogs.all of them love the beaver carcasses as do the cats...thwyre so fat thwy look like Garfield.(cats also like muscrat carcasses but our dogs pass em up for beaver) they range from a jack Russel to a 80 pound black and tan mix named rascal worms have nevwr been an issue for us as we just regularly work our dogs. they save us alot of money on dog food and if I knew it was legal in my state id stickpile some for summer although they'd have to be quartered and freeze because a while carcass would rot before they could eat it otherwise as the weather warms we have a friend who Jerry gives some because he fee2da them to the foxes he keeps for collecting urine the only problems ive ever had feeding them to the dogs is an occasional dog fight and a neighbor who gets whizzed cause a couple of his dogs keep coming down and snagging carcasses and takin em home. oh the really really big problem is the stench of the gas they pass after eating them. many times weve had to roll down the windows to keep from passailn out or puking.. (thats thw main reason thw neighbor doesnt line an..hes got BIG dogs and I can only imagine.lol :sick.
IF IDIOTS GREW ON TREES THIS PLACE WOULD BE AN ORCHARD !

Question about feeding to dogs: I have given my dogs some beaver meat over the years but never a lot. More as a treat. I have heard that it makes great feed. A couple years ago I figured fresh ground venison would make good feed for my sled dogs. It did not. Caused a lot of bloody stools. I private mailed White17 and asked him about it. Never thought to ask him about feeding beaver meat.
Do you folks just freeze it fresh then feed it out with kibble or what? Thanks Mac

My lab likes it but the farts will drive you out of the house. Mine too. The farts are worse than the wife’s. Rank!
I have nothing clever to put here.

I had a neighbor who used to feed his border collies beaver carcasses until one got an intestinal clog with beaver meat and bone. Vet said it he would need to charge $1500 to operate and save the dog. My neighbor ended up using a warm water enema and saved him that way.

Probably could make a move on the pig ear market with beaver feet. Dogs love them. I won't even go into how crazy they get about tails.

My brother who lives near by is always half ticked with me because his dogs come down and grab beaver hind feet and then jump into bed with them with a nice foot to chew on. My dog used to prefer them tainted so he would bury them all over the place and dig them up months later.

Do you folks just freeze it fresh then feed it out with kibble or what? Thanks Mac I have fed a lot of it straight (fresh or fresh froze). Seems like my hounds get a little turned off by it after a few days. They will still eat it but don't go crazy for it. I started mixing it with cheap kibble and that seems to work pretty good. Plus, when I run out of beaver or forget to thaw some out it isn't as drastic of a change. Butchered a downer cow the other day and they seem to prefer chunked beef over quartered beaver. Keep your dogs wormed but should be doing that anyway.

I always bring home about about 60-80 lbs of backstrap and hindquarters and once a week cook up 5 lbs or so. I’ll eat some and mix a bit into his kibble every day.. What the heck is Kibble ? w
