Bucks area has some terrific bears and he can well tell the size of said animals. When Bucks says “ he sure has a big “ you better be ready to tickle the trigger.
That eastern US area has a very good genetic for big bears, all the bears I have taken and seen taken in the western states have been smaller tho aged the same. Blacks that is.
I have a bunch of pics from last year in my area here I will see if I can get them to post this evening.

Checked on him yesterday, he moved on. I walked out to the den to take a pic but it's completely flooded.

Poscoe, we tracked that bear about 3 mies across WIDE open fields. He ( almost) made it to cover That was in MN? You don't see that much around here. You'll catch them in the open once in a while during mating season but other than that, they stick to cover. How big was the bear? Pos... The bear squares at 7' 8". He was a bit bigger before rugging of course. Osky

Didn't weigh him. Was a hot day and we had to get him skinned and butchered up. I'd imagine welll north of 600# but we don't get many that big so hard to compare " guess". He did bend my trucks receiver hitch, cargo carrier though
