here i'm still in the no brain-no pain mode, but i aint gettin any younger.
do think 40 seasons has made it easier by making me smarter about how i work things.
will admit to not making those long walks in as much.

Work smarter not harder. My grandpa is 82. He said as you get older you might slow down but you should be more efficient at your tasks. What might’ve taken ten sloppy knife strokes should be replaced by 2-3 precise strokes of your knife.

Don't have the drive to do as much in the shed after the line is done... prices being what they are I'm running about 2/3 as much as I used to, at 64+ w/ 3 back operations. One thing that's changed thru the years is I like setting as much or more than checking. AJE... did you get your post EXACTLY like you wanted???

It takes a week or more in the fall after setting out the line to limber up now.But after a week or two running traps, all is good.Just have to be a bit more careful not to take chances to get injured as it takes a lot longer to heal up when your over 60.I go a bit slower and more deliberate when going thru the bush and swamps now.And when I jump I make sure of my landing first now.No more jumping blind in the bush. And no more brush busting on the snowmachine, like the younger days,Now I scout ahead on snowshoes first before proceeding into the unknown with the snowmachine. Like was said work smarter, not faster.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Like said a guy hopes he's little smarter and power through the rest the first 2 weeks are the worse after that I'm to busy to stop and complain about it. Since going to wolf fangs my back gets less of workout pulling just cut the cable and walk away saves me a ton of pain.

Move south, the weather's better! When I was back up in Nebraska trapping, the weather was so windy and dang cold.... my aches and pains went away cause I couldn't feel my face!
