This bugger was in the middle of a logging road. It was about 3 1/2 feet long. It didn't seem to be in any hurry. It's still alive and well. Thanks for not killing it, Paul! They're part of the Nature we claim to love! No it isn't

It was so cold today...I was thinking of laying on the hot top

I'll keep the snow, the blizzards, the sleet, the long winters you keep the snakes.

And that’s why I’m glad I live in Iowa. I rather have a few of them around then rats and mice King snakes will do the same thing AND eat other snakes.

Thank you for sparing him Boss...........snakes are God's creatures too. Snakes are pretty cool, crawling around on their belly, no arms or legs, and they thrive! Half of humans can't even take care of themselves!!!

I agree, somewhat, but when you have to walk thru rattler woods on the high ground to get down to the beavers...then the cotton-mouths ..and I ain't talking about 1 or 2 cotton-mouths either...you feel better if you remove a few of them.

It's not a bite on the legs that worry me once I get to the water..its a bite on the hands, arm, neck, or face as I'm bent over making a beaver set.
I usually have Lacrosse hip boots on... a big diamondback might penetrate those but not likely a timber rattler's or cotton-mouth's fangs will.
